At Package Research Laboratory you will find one of the best equipped package testing and design facilities in the country, testing corrugated, paper, wood, metal and plastic for serviceability as container components as well as manufacturers' compliance to customers' specifications.
We are an independent certified ISTA and UN/DOT-HASMAT testing laboratory, staffed by highly skilled, certified technicians, performing tests in accordance with ASTM, TAPPI, NMFC, UFC, Federal, Military and customized application methods developed in our laboratory for or by our clients.
With the use of PRL's various environmental test chambers, we can also perform chemical compatibility testing, stress crack analysis and shelf life aging studies to verify the safety of your containers and the stability of your products.
PRL is equipped with a completely programmable environmental test chamber and temperature monitoring equipment used to measure and record temperatures of products and packaging while being subjected to simulated shipping environments. If your product is temperature sensitive and you need to verify the performance of your insulated container, PRL can effectively service your needs.

Compression Tester | The Tinius Olsen Compression Machine, with a load capacity of 30,000 lbs., a platen area of 30 square feet and a maximum clearance between platens of 9 feet, is ideal for evaluating an individual and entire pallet load of containers.
